Solid-State Transformer

Solid-State Transformer

Medium-voltage to low-voltage conversion with high-frequency isolation, offered in two configurations:

Solid State Transformer architecture: MV AC through an AC-AC stage, high-frequency isolation transformer and AC-DC stage to LV AC and LV DC outputs, with a standalone AC-DC converter.
MV AC → LV ACExplanation

Steps medium-voltage AC (11–33 kV) down to low-voltage AC (≤ 1000 V) through high-frequency isolation — replacing bulky line-frequency transformers while adding voltage regulation and power-quality control in a compact footprint.

Application

Industrial & commercial distribution, renewable collection substations, traction & rail auxiliary supply, and smart-grid interconnection.

MV AC → LV DCExplanation

Converts medium-voltage AC directly into a regulated, fully isolated low-voltage DC bus — removing the need for a separate rectifier stage to feed DC loads and storage.

Application

EV fast-charging hubs, BESS DC-coupling, data-centre DC power, DC microgrids, and electrolyser supplies.
