A Meter Data Management System (MDMS) is the software layer in an advanced metering infrastructure that turns raw meter reads into trustworthy, billable data. Raw reads are never perfectly clean; reads go missing, communication drops and some values look wrong, so the MDMS runs the VEE process (validation, estimation and editing) to check every read, estimate the gaps and flag exceptions. From that clean data it produces the tariff-framed determinants that billing needs and feeds the analytics that reveal technical and commercial loss. Enerzolve’s MDMS is built and supported in India as part of one integrated AMI platform, processing energy and water metering data on a single system. It works alongside the meter-facing layer, the Head End System, which collects the reads the MDMS then perfects.
